		<description>It&#039;s both the silent treatment and the rejection...they go hand in hand.  When I met my wife online (hold on, she was not my wife when we met but you get my meaning), she rejected our first date...never gave a reason and as far as what I felt at the time, she made me sweat for a couple of days.  I sat around thinking perhaps I moved to quick, yada, yada.  In the end it was my persistence (not to mention my honesty) the prevailed in successfully securing the first date (which lasted almost 12 hours I might add).  I should also mention that in the grand scheme of things, AGE has a LOT to do with who you pursue and we are NOT talk&#039;n numbers here, it&#039;s all about age and it&#039;s relationship with maturity. ;)

If you don&#039;t get responses, it COULD be that the person may be away, the dating thing may be taking a back seat, no access to email, perhaps they were kidnapped....

I always looked at it as, if they are going to let you down, just drop the bomb instead of the &quot;you know, gee, you are a really nice guy and all but...&quot;
